We believe supporting our communities goes beyond sponsorships and donations. That's why we offer qualifying community organizations a free account to help reduce the everyday costs of banking.
In 2025, our Community Accounts provided more than $31,000 in additional value to local organizations helping them put more of their resources toward the people and causes they serve.
Who can apply?

The Community Account is available to qualifying organizations, including:
- Local churches and congregations with a federal donation tax number
- Community service organizations
- Community recreation organizations
- Youth organizations and clubs
- Sports organizations
- 4-H clubs
- Student Representative Councils
- Other community-focused non-profits organizations
All organizations must be VCU members and use VCU as their primary financial institution. Organizations that don't fall within the listed categories can also request consideration.
